STATE OFFICER TRAINING CONFERENCE
State Officer Training Conference
What: State & National Officer Elect Training Conference
When: July 25 – July 29, 2027
Each July, following the State Leadership & Skills Conference and National Leadership & Skills Conference, newly elected SkillsUSA Massachusetts State and National Officers come together for the State Officer Training Conference. The week marks the start of their term, giving the new officer team dedicated time to build relationships, understand their responsibilities, and begin preparing for the year they will spend representing SkillsUSA Massachusetts.
The experience follows the ME • WE • DO • SERVE model, moving naturally from individual growth to team development and, ultimately, service. Officers begin by learning more about themselves and the strengths they bring to the team before turning their attention to one another and how they will work together. As the week progresses, they put that foundation into practice through the responsibilities, expectations, and experiences that come with serving as a State or National Officer, all leading toward a shared understanding of the members and communities they have been elected to represent.
Throughout the conference, officers participate in leadership experiences, team building, planning, presentations, travel, and opportunities to connect with SkillsUSA Massachusetts staff, board members, and partners. By the end of the week, the team leaves with a clearer sense of how they will work together and a strong foundation for the year of service ahead.
