The SkillsUSA Massachusetts Advisor of the Year recognizes an outstanding secondary or postsecondary educator whose leadership, dedication, and service strengthen their chapter, support student success, and advance the mission of SkillsUSA.

APPLY FOR ADVISOR OF THE YEAR

The SkillsUSA Massachusetts Advisor of the Year recognizes an outstanding secondary or postsecondary educator whose leadership, dedication, and service strengthen SkillsUSA members, chapters, and career and technical education.

Nominees should demonstrate a strong commitment to student leadership, chapter development, the SkillsUSA mission, and meaningful service to their school and community.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible nominees must:

  • Be currently employed in career and technical education.

  • Be a paid Professional Member of SkillsUSA.

  • Have demonstrated meaningful contributions and accomplishments within the past 10 years.

  • Be recommended by a SkillsUSA Massachusetts member.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS

A complete nomination should include:

  • Completed nomination materials.

  • A color portrait of the nominee in SkillsUSA attire.

  • A one-page narrative biography.

  • Up to three letters of support or recommendation.

  • All required supporting documentation.

Nominations are reviewed for completeness, and selected nominees may participate in an interview during the State Leadership & Skills Conference.

RECOGNITION
Advisor of the Year nominees are recognized during the State Leadership & Skills Conference, with the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Advisor of the Year announced during the Awards Ceremony.

The selected state recipient may advance for consideration in the National SkillsUSA Advisor of the Year program.

  2. Make sure all required nomination materials and supporting documentation are included before submitting.

  3. Selected nominees may be asked to participate in an interview during the State Leadership & Skills Conference.
