Lara Costa serves as the State President of SkillsUSA Massachusetts. As President, she leads the Massachusetts State Officer Team and represents SkillsUSA members across the Commonwealth. In her role, Lara participates in state and national events, advocates for SkillsUSA and career and technical education with government officials, and promotes SkillsUSA programs and initiatives to students, educators, and industry professionals.
Lara is a senior at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, where she studies Engineering Technology. After graduation, she plans to attend college and pursue a career in law, building on her interests in leadership, communication, and advocacy.
Outside of her academic and leadership commitments, Lara enjoys cooking and baking for family and friends. She especially enjoys discovering new recipes and experimenting with different dishes and desserts.
Lara has earned the SkillsUSA National Statesman Award and holds OSHA 10, CVSA, Framework, and CTE certifications. Her experiences as State President and in career and technical education continue to strengthen the leadership, communication, and professional skills she hopes to carry into her future education and career.
