Derek LeClerc is the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Parliamentarian. As a SkillsUSA Massachusetts state officer, Derek is part of a team of highly committed and motivated student leaders who have been elected to represent their peers at the state level. Officers demonstrate strong leadership skills, uphold the ideals of SkillsUSA, and advocate for career and technical education throughout their term.
As an officer, Derek serves as an ambassador for the State Association, representing SkillsUSA Massachusetts members while advocating for SkillsUSA and career and technical education with government officials and promoting the organization’s programs and initiatives to students, educators, and industry professionals across the Commonwealth.
Derek is a senior in the Plumbing program at Upper Cape Regional Technical High School and hopes to pursue a career in civil service, legal and protective services, or civil engineering. Outside of SkillsUSA, Derek is a member of his school’s Speech and Debate Club and enjoys writing stories in his free time.
Derek holds several industry-recognized credentials, including OSHA 10 Certification, SkillsUSA Framework Certification, CTE Certification, and multiple construction-related certifications.
