June 21, 2009: This is Hoyin, media crew member, reporting in from Kansas City, Missouri. We’re here!
We left on an early (6:05am) flight from Logan, and upon arrival we were immediately put to work—-sorting hundreds of T-Shirts, pins, lanyards, vouchers, Worlds of Fun tickets, programs, magazines, badges and bags. Besides a small break at P.F. Changs for dinner, we worked through the day and evening until everything was sorted into bags ready to distribute to VIPs, administrators, and schools.
Tomorrow the media crew will, as usual, be at the airport to film the arrival of our delegations on various flights during the day. So, when you see John Pelletier and I at the arrival gate, smile and wave at the camera! We, along with John Steiner who’ll be arriving tomorrow night, will be roaming around the conference gathering footage for the video on Friday. Hopefully we’ll have power to actually show the video this year.
