WorldSkills Welding Participation
The American Welding Society and SkillsUSA’s international welding technical committee would like to share their plans for selecting the international welding competitor for the 2009 WorldSkills Competitions in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They have established a Web page that contains “an inside look at the Weld Off, the first competition following two years of nationals, to narrow down the list of candidates.” The Pre-Weld Off will be using the same prints and instructions, so if advisors want to get a jump-start on this important event, please visit the AWS’s Weld-Off website.
