Upper Cape opens student-built fitness trail
Upper Cape Tech was recently awarded one of the $10,000 SkillsUSA/Lowe’s Community Service Education Grants. The money was used to help them build a new fitness trail on the grounds of Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, and have received news coverage from SouthCoastToday.com :
BOURNE — A new fitness trail on the grounds of Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School officially opened recently thanks to the hard work of the students and the financial support of the Lowe’s Charitable and Education Foundation.
“Lowe’s should be commended for their support of career development and technical education throughout the country,” said District Superintendent Kevin Farr. Upper Cape Tech was one of 20 recipients of $10,000 2007 SkillsUSA/Lowe’s community service education grants.
“The more we can partner with businesses like Lowe’s who want to invest in the work force of the future, the more everyone comes out a winner,” Mr. Farr said
